The group is made up of experts in biomedical and biotechnological research. It has experience in the development of research studies in the clinical and preclinical fields. With a strong translational character and a strong focus on transferring its results to industry, the group collaborates with various research centres and hospitals as well as with several companies in the biosanitary field.
The research topics on which the group focuses are divided into two blocks. On the one hand, topics related to molecular imaging are studied at both the technological level and its clinical and preclinical application. The main focus of this work is on positron emission tomography. Another topic of study is radiotherapeutic techniques with special emphasis on cutting-edge techniques such as intraoperative radiotherapy and hadron therapy.
On the other hand, the group also has a teaching projection in university degrees and masters at national and international level. It also has extensive experience in organising courses, congresses, and conferences aimed at both the training of professionals and the dissemination of scientific activities.
