The research group of the General and Digestive Surgery Department is immersed in several lines of research that seek to advance knowledge and practice in surgery. In this sense, one of the main focuses is on the use of new technologies, such as robotics, to improve the precision and efficiency of surgical interventions. Another very relevant line of research focuses on the development and implementation of protocols in relation to the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques. In order to advance in the surgery of the future, it is essential to promote teaching and continuing education using new innovative tools.
